It is the first company in the industry to cater to women’s golfing needs by introducing a line of grips for women, Ladies-Touch, to be released Spring 2005.

According to a 2003 survey by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity, there has been a 14% increase in participation in golf among women. Responding to this data, Insignia Trading Inc. has recognized a need for grips that cater to a woman’s individual fit and sizing.
“There isn’t a lot of choice out there for women at the moment,” said Russel Inspektor, president of Insignia Trading Inc. “Downsized men’s grips aren’t specifically designed for women. Since more women are getting into golf, we decided that they should have more options available to them in terms of grip fit and comfort.”
The correct grip is essential to a golfer’s swing: comfort, size and if it can be easily grasped are all factors that affect not only the distance and angle of the shot, but also a golfer’s confidence.
The new Ladies-Touch line of grips is softer on the hands and joints, reduces hand fatigue and promotes proper grip pressure. The multiple layers greatly reduce shock absorption, the firm wrap is more durable than rubber grips, and the matte finish ensures better playability in all weather conditions. The line will also be available in a variety of fashion-forward colours. The grips will retail between $8.00-$10.00.
