Carolina Shores, Colonial Charters appoint new GM

Carolina Shores, NC - Brennan F. Robertson has been named the General Manager and Director of Golf at both Carolina Shores Country Club, and Colonial Charters Country Club. Robertson was hired August 18th, 2004 by Mike Matheny, the courses owner, who was managing both facilities.

Robertson, is a native of the Grand Strand area, and began his professional career at Pine Lakes Country Club. Over the past 15 years he has managed golf facilities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. During this time he and his facilities have earned numerous awards including taking 2 separate courses from 1 star ratings to 3 ½ stars rating, according to Golf Digest, number 1 rating for travel destination golf in Sarasota according to Travel Golf.com, 5 consecutive best of area finalist according to the Sarasota Herald, just to list a few.

In addition to the awards, Robertson’s operations have consistently been noted for creating programs and promotions that continually create major excitement among locals and tourists alike.

In addition to the facilities promotions and programs Robertson has a strong history of supporting local charities and benefits. Among his most notable accomplishments are 3 Guinness Book of World Records. Robertson is the current World Record holder for the most holes of golf played in 12 hours, 535. In his efforts he has raised in excess of $50,000.00 for various charities.
