UpLink's sponsored golf outing at Golf Industry Show a major success

AUSTIN, Texas – Feb 23, 2005 – UpLink Corporation, the industry leader in golf course management applications, helping courses realize increased profitability from innovative sponsorship programs, integrated tournament management support, and revolutionary golf car monitoring and management systems, sponsored the NGCOA's annual golf outing to attendees of the Golf Industry Show held Feb. 10-12, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. A total of 268 attendees played the two courses which uses UpLink's Golf Course Management System (GCMS).

As part of the outing, the players experienced UpLink's proprietary AdSmart Program first hand. AdSmart gives courses the opportunity to sell advertising sponsorships that appear on the screens in each golf car. This new source of revenue can significantly offset the cost of acquiring UpLink's GCMS, and in fact can become a courses' second largest source of profits.

According to Mike Tinkey, Deputy Executive Director of the NGCOA, the outing was a great success: "The golfers, many of whom are golf club owners, had a great outing. The combination of the UpLink System on Club Cars, two terrific courses, and the tournament software from Vision Perfect no doubt made this a memorable experience for the players. Equally significant is that we were able to complete the round in approximately five hours compared to almost six hours last year without the course management system."

Adds Mark Seabrook, NGCOA president and general manager of the Canadian Golf and Country Club, "I truly enjoyed the tournament; the UpLink System provided an enjoyable experience and having the on-car scoring was a tremendous addition. In fact, I recently met with UpLink about the AdSmart sponsorship opportunities and we are thoroughly impressed with the program. The club (Canadian Golf and Country Club) is looking to implement UpLink at the facility."
