GPS Industries expands to France

SARASOTA, FL. – Feb. 17, 2005 – GPS Industries, Inc. (GPSI) (OTCBB:GPSN); (Frankfurt WKN#:252179), a leading innovator of Wi-Fi wireless and GPS-enabled multimedia communications and management solutions for golf facilities and residential communities has announced that it will install its Inforemer Wi-Fi GPS Golf Business Solution for the first time in France at two of the country's highest rated golf resort destinations. Hotel Golf de Seignosse and Golf de Sainte Maxime are rated in Golf World Magazine's list of the Top 50 golf facilities in continental Europe.

"Signing two high profile courses of this caliber in France is a significant win for us," said Robert Silzer, Sr., President and CEO of GPSI. "It very much establishes our presence in France and opens the door for future sales in this large and fast growing golf market." France is continental Europe's second largest golf market with more than 500 golf courses. GPSI is strategically positioned to penetrate this market following the opening of its European office, the signing of a local distributor and the purchase of the exclusive patents to Differential GPS in France and 10 other European nations.

GPSI will install its Inforemer GPS Golf Business Solution, including its full management system and Wi-Fi network infrastructure at both golf facilities. Hotel Golf de Seignosse will also install 48 color cart-mount GPS units and Golf de Sainte Maxime will install 65 color cart-mount GPS units.

"Seignosse and Sainte Maxime required a GPS solution that uses an internationally recognized Wi-Fi network and could be easily customized to the French language and display distances in meters instead of yards," states Bradley Allen, Vice President of European Operations for GPSI. "As the only solution offering these capabilities, Inforemer was the obvious choice."

Unicode compliant, Inforemer can be easily customized for any language and offers the ability to display distances in both yards and meters. Moreover, Wi-Fi is the internationally recognized standard for wireless communications, negating the need for costly licensing fees associated with using radio frequencies.
