Clock Tower Press publishes inside story of pro golfers and their wives

ANN ARBOR, Mich – Feb. 15, 2005 – Clock Tower Press has announced the release of Life With a Swinger: Conversations Off the Tee with Golf Professionals and Their Wives, a book by Kay Davidoff-Ziplow and Leslie F. Zinberg that explores golf from a unique point of view: that of the touring pros and their spouses.

As Jack Nicklaus affirms, "The Tour wives have been an integral part of the success of their husbands on Tour - I know mine has been." Life With a Swinger shines a light on this heretofore hidden side of the Tour life.

With quotes, anecdotes and never-before-seen photos from scores of professional golfers and their spouses, the authors show the private lives behind the public achievements. Revealed for the first time are personal challenges, compromises and quests faced both by husbands whose "day job" is a rare calling and by the wives who choose to support them through the ups and downs of the game. These couples describe - in their own words - the dynamic roles a wife in the golfing world is called upon to play: psychologist, coach, accountant, business manager, caddy, personal trainer and - of course - companion. The ninety-six contributors to the book include Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, Fuzzy and Diane

Zoeller, Sonya and David Toms, Fred and Thais Couples and Tom and Melissa Lehman. Mr. Lehman, the 2006 Ryder Cup US Team Captain, also provides the book's foreword.

About the Authors

Kay Davidoff-Ziplow is an avid golfer who has played as the only woman amateur in more than thirteen PGA Tour Pro/AMs. Leslie F. Zinberg is the co-author of a series of parenting books entitled The Pink and Blue Baby Pages and The Pink and Blue Toddler and Preschooler Pages and has appeared on TV shows such as "The Today Show," "ABC Eyewitness News" and "E." Both women were featured on "Viewer's Forum," a one-hour live special on The Golf Channel that highlighted the lives of tour wives.
