Mitchell Golf Equipment Institute certifies ten CRT graduates

Feb. 14, 2005 – This is the first CRT class to graduate at Mitchell Golf Equipment Institute’s new campus located at Orange County National Golf Resort & Lodge in Orlando, Florida. The students attended an extensive 3-day class related to all types of club repair.

Mitchell Club Repair Technician schools include instruction and hands-on experience in re-shafting, re-gripping and measuring & bending golf club angles. Classes include detailed lectures concerning club specifications and performance, followed by student work in Mitchell Golf’s state of the art club repair lab. Each attendee learned repair techniques necessary for today’s modern golf club designs including frequency matching golf shafts.

Newly certified Club Repair Technicians include Perry Hallmeyer, It's Our Bag, Inc., Corona del Mar, CA; Pieter Hartong & Peter Herzog, Darien Golf Center, Darien, CT; Robert Herzog, Golf Outfitters, Loveland, CO; Dan Langell, Precision Golf LLC, Brighton, MI; Tom Mann, Pro Golf of Manchester, Manchester, NH; Marvin Moyer, Lake Mary, FL; Henry Paracchini, Pro Golf of Nanuet, Mamaroneck, NY; Andy Sexton, Golfer's Clubhouse, Sudbury, MA; Thomas White, Golfusion, APO AE, NY. “Our recent class developed the skills necessary to be a Certified Club Repair Technician,” states Mike Stevens, PGA Golf Professional and head instructor for this Club Repair Technician school.

“The hands-on repairs the students completed during class makes them capable of performing re-shafting, re-gripping, loft/lie alteration or any other repair immediately for their customers. I am sure all of them will be very successful and will make club repair a profit center in their shops. We are proud to have this great group join our alumni of Club Repair Technicians. ” Paul Bessler and Jay Schrader, both PGA Golf Professionals assisted Mike during this school. Paul and Jay will be the head instructors for all future schools. Students worked with recognized products from sources such as Mitchell Golf Equipment Company, True Temper, KZ Golf, Rapport Composites, Swing Science, Grafalloy and Golf Pride.
