Rangestats announces Scottsdale location

Feb. 10, 2005 – RangeStats has announced that the CrackerJax Driving Range in Scottsdale Arizona has installed RangeMonitors for use by golfers at the facility. Golfers can purchase a RangePass at the pro shop to access the RangeMonitors and to get their login information for the RangeStats.com website.

RangeStats Incorporated provides the RangeStats RangeMonitor powered by Zelocity and the RangeStats.com website to driving ranges and their customers. This solar-powered, Internet-enabled ball flight monitor allows golfers to access golf improvement technology at any RangeMonitor equipped practice range. Using radar technology, the RangeMonitor captures practice session data for each user and provides instant feedback at the tee and club analysis on the web at RangeStats.com.

Each RangeMonitor uses radar technology created by Zelocity, technology currently utilized by PGA teaching Professionals and tour players, to measure practice drive distances for each golf club. This information helps golfers to improve club choice and the overall performance of their golf game. With both solar and AC power, the RangeMonitor does not require electrical power at outdoor tee stations and can also be charged overnight for covered or shaded locations. Range owners can permanently install the units between tee stations, both indoors and outdoors, or use them on grass tees.

This new technology provides an instant and direct revenue opportunity for driving ranges and golf clubs. Each golfer activates the ball flight monitor using a RangePass RFID tag, the same pass code security technology used to secure buildings. Sold at the range or club, the RangePass is the key to activate both the RangeMonitor and provide access for users to the RangeStats.com web site.
