On-line charity auction benefits Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children

Who: Kelly Tilghman, Golf Channel commentator and Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation

What: Four golf fans will have a chance to meet and spend time with Kelly Tilghman, the first full-time female play-by-play commentator in the PGA TOUR’s history, during the upcoming The Barclays Golf Tournament through an on-line charity auction. The highest bidder will win a package which includes an opportunity to meet Tilghman and members of the Golf Channel’s on-air crew. There are two packages (for two guests each) up for auction with the starting bid of $750.

Package specifics:
• Wednesday, August 20: A private lunch reception hosted by Tilghman where she and colleagues will talk about the golf world, take photos and sign autographs.
• Thursday, August 21: A behind-the-scenes private tour of The Barclays TV compound and “18th Tower” for an inside look at how the television broadcast is done and the opportunity to meet Golf Channel and CBS Sports on-air personalities.
• Weekly grounds passes to The Barclays to watch defending champion Steve Stricker, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and others compete for the FedEx Cup title.

When: The on-line charity auction opens at noon on Tuesday, August 5 and ends at noon on Wednesday, August 13.
