Champ Spikes reports earning its 16th straight PGA Tour victory

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Champ Spikes, the #1 Brand on Tour, captured its 16th straight PGA Tour victory with its win at the RBC Canadian Open in Ontario, Canada.

The winner relied on the industry’s only hybrid spike, CHAMP’s ProStinger™, to overcome poor early round conditions at Glenn Abby Golf Club to shoot a tournament best 17-under 267. The win was his first professional career title and catapulted him to 48th on the Money List and from 128th to 29th in the regular season FedExCup points standings.

On the Duramed FUTURES Tour, the USI Champion, Mo Martin, and CHAMP Spikes held their ground shooting a final round 5-under 67. The winner finished four strokes ahead of the competition to capture her 2nd professional victory.

After weekend play, the “Great 8” remained in the Duramed FUTURES Tour’s “Last CHAMP Standing” competition. The “Last CHAMP Standing” is a season-long event designed to reward FUTURES Tour players wearing CHAMP spikes, based on their tournament finish each week. The overall champion will earn a $2500 first prize check as the “Last CHAMP Standing” following the season-ending I LOVE NY Championship in September in Albany, NY.

Overall, 78% of this weekend’s field on the PGA Tour who wore CHAMP Spikes, chose CHAMP over the original equipment that came on their shoes. CHAMP now holds 23 of 32 wins on the PGA Tour, 13 of 22 on the LPGA Tour and all of the wins on the Duramed FUTURES Tour.

“It is great to see our spikes on top of the leaderboard week after week," said Harris MacNeill, President of Champ. "These continuous wins just go to show that Champ Spikes can be used at any level on any playing field."
