EUGENE, Ore. -- Scratch Golf continued its stellar year on the professional tours as it garnered a second victory this season at the Nationwide Tour Players Cup in Bridgeport, W. Va.
The Players Cup champion had a 61-degree PWE grind wedge in his bag as he won his second career Nationwide Tour event and collected the largest purse in the Tour’s history.
“We are thrilled with the success players have had using our clubs on the Nationwide Tour this year,” explained Scratch Golf CEO Ari Techner. “We are honored that these guys have chosen to put our wedges in their bags and we couldn’t be more excited about their recent victories.”
Scratch Golf’s first victory of the year came at the Bank of America Open in Glenview, Ill., where Kris Blanks had three Scratch Golf wedges in his bag when he won his first Nationwide Tour event. Both players are now inside “The 25,” which puts them on pace to join the PGA TOUR next season.
Scratch Golf's Tour Department wedges are currently in play on the PGA, Champions, Nationwide, LPGA, European PGA, European Challenge and European LPGA Tours. Players using Scratch wedges have five top ten finishes on the PGA TOUR in 2008 to go along with the two Nationwide Tour victories.
