Golf Life television extends tip-series with Chuck Cook

AVON, Colorado – Feb. 5, 2005 – Action Television has announced another contract extension for its highly successful television program Golf Life. For the past two seasons Golf Life has featured tip segments with well-known golf instructor Chuck Cook. The segments have been so successful that it spawned a DVD on “Building the perfect golf swing.”

The DVD has been well received and is in its second duplication run. Executive Producer Mike Billingsley said of Cook, “He brings so much to the table. He is a well-known instructor who has worked with Tom Kite, Payne Stewart, Cory Pavin and Bob Estes.

Chuck’s approach is easy to understand and he is a great guy.” Golf Life mixes golf course features with health and wellness tips as well as Chuck Cook’s segments. Chuck Cook’s DVD is available now on the www.golflife.net web video channel.

Currently in its 6th season, Golf Life visits Royal Links this week in Las Vegas. The show features a course and then touches on other aspects of that course. These aspects could be a new restaurant, real estate opportunity or even new facilities at the course. Billingsley said “We try to give courses and resorts the opportunity to showcase improvements and additions they have made to their facility. We go in to a course and say lets make the show interesting and fun. What’s new, what’s going on here?”

The show has been so popular that the producers are planning a summer run. Producers are talking with courses around the country and looking for interesting stories to tell in the show. Fans of the show enjoy the course features as well as the tip segments.

Billingsley added, “Once we feature a course on the show our viewers have that course in their minds forever. That is a powerful marketing for courses trying to differentiate themselves in the crowded marketplace.”

Golf Life is currently airing in prime time in over 60 million homes on regional sports networks including Fox Sports Net, Comcast Sports Net and independents like Sunshine Network. In addition, Golf Life has developed a very unique web video channel on the internet at www.golflife.net. People with broadband web connections can view course features, tips, health and fitness segments and product features at their own leisure.
