Feb. 3, 2005 – Maderas Golf Club and Corazón de Vida will host the North Island Credit Union Golf Tournament at The Maderas Golf Club in San Diego on Wednesday, February 9th from 8AM to 2PM. All proceeds will benefit the Corazón de Vida Foundation, which supports orphanages in Baja Mexico. Foursomes can register for $800 while the single fee is $250. Luncheon and hole sponsorships also available for $2,500 and $250.

Corazón de Vida, which means Heart of Life, is a non-profit organization founded in 1994 to help support the 50 orphanages located in Baja California. With little to no government assistance, all of the homes struggle on a daily basis to provide food and basic necessities for the children. The foundation is primarily volunteer-driven with over 3,000 Southern California volunteers who visit the homes throughout the year, taking food, supplies and love. Currently, Corazón de Vida provides support for ten homes.

The Maderas Golf Club Tournament will feature:

·A continental breakfast
·A golf tournament at the number one golf course in San Diego
·A Mexican fiesta luncheon

The Maderas Golf Club is located at 17750 Old Coach Road in Poway. All proceeds benefit the Corazón de Vida Foundation.
