BEAVERTON (September 8, 2004)--Nike Golf is following up its Ignite driver line with a complementary line of Ignite T60 fairway woods that begin shipping Oct. 1.

The Ignite fairway woods, which feature a 60-gram tungsten plug that gives the line its name, will carry a suggested retail price of $239.

"The tungsten plug in the Ignite T60 fairway woods allows us to move the CG (center of gravity) to promote game improvement while maintaining a classic club head shape," said Mike Kelly, Nike Golf's Club Category Business Director.

While the Ignite driver uses NexTi material in its composition, Kelly said the Ignite T60 is built with a Custom 455 Stainless Steel clubface for maximum performance.

Two-thirds of the club head weight is below the equator of the ball, which facilitates getting the ball airborne.

"The T60 is a testament to our engineers' ability to push the technical envelope without sacrificing the look that better players demand,” Kelly said.
