NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Celebrate your independence by freeing up an ideal day of pleasure at Pelican Hill Golf Club, where you'll tee off on one of the "re-perfected" Tom Fazio courses you've been wanting to play while savoring gourmet July 4th fare.
The Pelican Hill Fourth of July Package combines 18 holes on your choice of the Ocean North or Ocean South course, engraved bag tag, yardage guide and two dining choices: either a $20.00 credit towards food and beverage at Pelican Grill, which is serving several Independence Day specials, or a July 4th "to go" outdoor breakfast or lunch to enjoy while golfing. The package is $175 per person. For more information and to make reservations, please call 949-467-6800 or 877-735-4226.
The outdoor breakfast menu offers: Organic Fresh Egg Sandwiches, Neuskes Canadian Bacon, Cheddar Cheese on an English Muffin, served with seasonal melons, coffee and juice. The outdoor lunch selections are: Prime Sirloin Beef Hamburger on a brioche bun, All Beef Kosher Hot Dog, Bruce Aidell Bratwurst Grilled Onions, served with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled relish and assorted chips.
Meanwhile, Pelican Grill will be offering some July 4th specials: an appetizer of Scallops Wrapped in Bacon with rainbow slaw & bean salad, $16.00; entrees of Kansas City Style Pork Baby Back Ribs with sweet white corn on the cobb, $26.00, and Texas Slow-Roasted BBQ Brisket with yukon gold mashed potatoes & green beans, $28.00; and for dessert, Chocolate Freedom with molten chocolate & vanilla ice cream, $10.00.
Pelican Hill Golf Club is a standout among the nation's premier golf clubs. Complementing the 36 holes by Tom Fazio is a stylish, 44,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring dramatic classical architecture, luxurious men's and women's locker rooms and lounges, Pelican Grill restaurant and bar with al fresco dining year-round on the ocean-view terrace, an espresso bar and a golf shop offering the latest fashions and accessories. The all-inclusive, full-service practice facility which is steps away from the golf shop and includes target greens, sand bunkers, approaches, roughs and fairway turf is designed to give players an advance glimpse of the design elements Fazio incorporated into the courses. Tour-event Nike Platinum practice balls are waiting without guests having to ask for them. Once ready to play, golfers depart in a golf cart right from the practice area and reach the first tees by driving their cart over the resort's stunning and iconic entrance: a classically designed bridge that appears as if it could span the Arno River in Florence.
