Motion Golf joins Custom Golf of Connecticut to offer new studio

FAIRFIELD, N.J. -- Motion Golf, the world’s most advanced golf instruction system, has joined forces with Custom Golf of Connecticut in Stamford to offer an integrated program called the “Total Solution for Golf” that combines fitness, club fitting and Motion Golf’s extraordinary swing analysis technology. The new Motion Golf studio will be available to area golfers on Friday, June 27.

The Motion Golf Imaging (MGI) System, previously only available for use by PGA Tour professionals, uses six high-speed cameras to capture the golf swing and putting stroke in a unique three-dimensional real time image. Studio golf professionals instantly view a golfer’s swing from every angle and they are able to provide swing analysis, instruction and feedback. Students see their swing and better understand the needed adjustments compared to regular video instruction.

“It’s the best golf swing feedback system I’ve ever seen,” said Darren Anderson, owner of Custom Golf of Connecticut, the premier custom club fitting facility in the area and rated as one of “America’s Top 100 Golf Shops” by Golf World Business. “This product provides detailed information a video camera could never capture and helps the student see and understand the correct movements in the golf swing. Having Motion Golf available to our customers will be a huge draw for the store and will make us the premier golf instruction facility in Fairfield County.”

Anderson also is installing TrackMan, a Doppler radar launch monitor that is the best club fitting technology available. Additionally, golfers will benefit from the revolutionary exercise methodology known as Flexor. The Flexor golf specific in-position training program teaches the proper body movement patterns for golf, resulting in improved balance, flexibility, power and consistency.

Because the Motion Golf technology was developed through research with images recorded by several touring professionals – including Justin Rose, Fred Funk, Sergio Garcia and many more – it can be used for side-by-side comparisons with a student’s swing. The company refers to this as “step-in technology” since the student can actually step into the swing of a pro. The real power of the technology, however, results in lowering handicaps for golfers of all levels. Motion Golf now has a library of 100 professional swings on file

According to Motion Golf CEO, Joe Luciano, over 2,000 customers have experienced the wonder of Motion Golf technology and the experience has exceeded expectations every time. “Master PGA teaching pros who have used the system tell me students can learn as much in one hour with Motion Golf as perhaps 4-9 hours on the range,” says Luciano. “It truly is revolutionary. With our technology, Custom Golf will now be able to offer the best golf lesson anywhere in Connecticut.”

Custom Golf of Connecticut is located at 2770 Summer Street in downtown Stamford. The store is convenient to I-95, the Merritt Parkway and the Metro-North train station.

With the addition of Custom Golf of Connecticut, Motion Golf will have a total of five studios in the tri-state area, including its flagship studio in Fairfield, New Jersey and the newly opened studios in White Plains, New York, Syosset, Long Island and New York City (August). More Motion Golf studios are planned for Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, San Antonio, Baltimore and other markets. For more information or to experience Motion Golf, please visit
