Jim Furyk and John Beck treat fathers to Saltwater Experience

ISLAMORADA, Fla. -- Celebrity sports stars have the world at their fingertips. Most anything under the sun can be theirs with a phone call or email. Private jets, chartered yachts, and exotic destinations can be commandeered at a whim. So how do famous sports greats honor their dads on Fathers' Day? The same way you can honor your father…by taking him on an incredible fishing adventure of a lifetime courtesy of Saltwater Experience and Captains Tom Rowland and Rich Tudor.

Miami Dolphins quarterback John Beck was a stand-out at Brigham Young University. He had big shoes to fill when he arrived at BYU his father, Wendell, was a track and field star there years before. But filled them he did, and his performance on the football field drew the attention of the Dolphins quickly in last year's draft. Wendell has always been John's biggest fan so when it came time to "shop" for Wendell's Father's Day gift this year, John knew right where to go Saltwater Experience and a fishing trip to Florida Keys.

Saltwater Experience has been providing fishing charters and guide services in the Florida Keys and Key West areas for over 12 years. These services are featured on ESPN2 and Versus, where John first saw Rowland and Rich demonstrate their angling artistry on the networks #1 fishing show, Saltwater Experience. Known nationwide for being able to put clients on sweet spots loaded with Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, and over 40 other species of fish found inshore and offshore, John Beck knew of SE's reputation for providing fishing trips of a lifetime.

He could have taken his father anywhere to honor him on his special day but he chose Captain Tom Rowland. Not only was the expedition itself exciting but Wendell caught Goliath Grouper under the mangroves just like he'd seen on the show. John returned in April to enter the annual Hawks Cay Redbone Sunrise Sunset Tarpon Tournament at 5-Star Hawks Cay Resort in Islamorada, Fla. He joined other athletes, anglers, guides, and celebrities to raise money for cystic fibrosis in "To Catch The Cure".

"If John's fishing ability is any indication of the Dolphins' season, great things are in store! John entered the Celebrity Grand Champion Angler Tournament the same day the NFL Draft was going on," says Saltwater Experience television host Tom Rowland. "Even though he was distracted with numerous telephone calls, with Rich Tudor's guidance, he won the tournament."

David Zueske, Hawks Cay Resort owner also guided by Tudor, won Grand Champion Angler.

Another sports wonder who entrusted Saltwater Experience recently to give his father a memorable gift is golf great Jim Furyk. All sons owe much of their success to their fathers, but Furyk even more so. A golf pro at the tender age of 22, Furyk has never had any golf instructor except his father, Mike, who worked as a pro at Union Town Country Club in PA where Jim grew up.

Known for his unconventional trademark looping golf swing, the junior Furyk has the resources to provide an "unconventional" Father's Day gift for the senior Furyk, who many say is responsible for Jim's unusual swing. Jim knew he could count on Saltwater Experience and Tudor's talents to provide his father with a trip he'd never forget, a trip he and his father enjoyed last week.

This Father's Day capture the catch of a lifetime with the foremost angler in your life. Contact Rowland and Tudor for a Father's Day fishing adventure that will make your dad feel like a pro.
