MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- For the past five years, GolfTEC Eden Prairie Coach Eric Anderson has used golf as a way to remember his father Dennis who died from Leukemia in 2000. Anderson has offered free golf lessons on Father’s Day for donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and has raised close to $3000 over the years.
This year he’ll do it again with hopes of setting a fundraising record as the four Minneapolis GolfTEC locations will be supporting his cause. Free 15-minute lessons will be given by GolfTEC’s Certified Personal Coaches from 12pm – 5pm at all four Minneapolis GolfTEC locations on Sunday, June 15th. 100% of donations collected will be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
“I was just looking to do something so I could help.” Anderson said. “It’s a good way to get other families to spend the time together - time that I can’t have anymore.”
All Minneapolis-area golfers are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to tune-up their golf swing and give back to the community by visiting one of the following GolfTEC locations:
