Poppy Ridge prepares 3rd Annual Business Golf for Women Day

GCSAAClass A superintendent Todd Cook will be a presenter at the 3rd Annual Business Golf for Women Day on Tuesday, June 3 at Poppy Ridge Golf Course. The one-day event which is designed to introduce golf as a relationship-building tool for women in business, will also include Cook’s presentation on course etiquette followed by a demonstration on how to properly repair ball marks and divots.

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of Northern California will provide each clinic participant with a free ball mark repair tool and instructions for future reference. "The course superintendents in Nor-Cal remain committed to educating others about proper ball mark repair technique," said Cook. "This event is an excellent venue to share information, especially since many of the participants will be taking up the game for the first time and are interested in learning all they can about the sport."

According to Jan Ahlman, Director of Sales at Poppy Ridge Golf Course, the Business Golf for Women Day will begin at 9 a.m. and includes a clinic, guest speakers, followed by lunch and a nine-hole tournament. The day will wrap up with a networking reception. For more, visit http://www.poppyridgegolf.com/livermore/index.htm.
