PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Duane Engdahl and Quantum Golf Company announce the inking of a license agreement whereby Quantum will be permitted to embody into their putter product line, Engdahl’s unique and newly patented glide technology (US Patent 7374500). This new technology which is available, now only in Quantum Putters, is very simple yet it makes a huge improvement in putting performance. “The Glide Plate Technology improves putting performance in several ways:” says Engdahl, “First, It elevates the putter head up off the green so that the center of gravity of the head is perfectly aligned with the center of gravity of the ball along the vertical axis of the sweet spot – this, as any physicist can tell you, is a requirement for sweet impact. But that’s not all, by elevating the head up off green, the adverse effects of leading edge bite and trailing edge drag are totally eliminated and glide friction is substantially reduced - this dramatically improves putter glide over the green during the putt stroke. And the groves that are machined into the patented glide plate give the golfer another huge benefit because they comb the green during green glide so to automatically force the putter into perfect alignment with the golfer’s intended line just before impact.”
