Mark Glickman named president of leading hospitality organization

RICHMOND – Jan. 31, 2005 – Mark Glickman, co-founder of the Virginia Golfer Network (www.virginiagolfernetwork.com) and President of The Glickman Group, has been elected as President of The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International - Chapter of the Virginias (HSMAI-VAs), an organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry.

Serving as Vice President is Gary W. Brown, CHME, Vice President of Sales and Conference Operations, Colonial Williamsburg Company; Secretary/Treasurer is Robert Hayes, Director of National Accounts, Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean and Mexico Resorts; Immediate Past President is Andrew Mann, Convention Coordinator, Visual Aids Electronics; Rick Eisenman, CAE, of Eisenman and Associates, Inc., continues as Executive Vice President.

Glickman, co-founder of the Virginia Golfer Network (www.virginiagolfernetwork.com), has over 20 years of travel industry experience and heads up The Glickman Group, a full-service Public Relations and Marketing firm that specializes in travel and tourism. The Glickman Group`s client list reads like a who’s who of the world`s leading golf and spa resorts including Pinehurst, The Homestead, Barton Creek, Palmilla, Hershey Resorts and El Cid Resorts.

The Glickman Group currently provides a wide range of services and counsel to a roster of high profile properties and destinations including Virginia Tourism Corporation, the Boar’s Head Inn and Kingston Plantation. Glickman, well known for his work in the golf world, most recently helped launch the new Poplar Grove golf course, Sam Snead’s final design.
