The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood debuts as season opens

TRUCKEE, Calif. -- The long Sierra Nevada winter is finally becoming
a memory and optimistic golfers are ready to hit the links at Old
Greenwood, http://www.oldgreenwood.com, which is set to open Friday,
May 16, 2008. It will also debut its new Golf Academy, Northern
California's only golf school facility fully dedicated to instruction.

Old Greenwood is a resort recreational community on 900 acres crowned
by an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus masterpiece, ranked by national golf
magazines as among the top public courses in America. Old Greenwood
plays 7,528 yards from the back. Green fees are $185 and include a
golf cart and practice balls. For tee times, call 530.550.7010 or
visit www.oldgreenwoodgolf.com.

This golf season, beginners can learn good habits; intermediate
golfers can get a more fluid, powerful swing, and advanced golfers can
shave strokes off with the help of the new Golf Academy at Old
Greenwood™. Keith Lyford, the new director of instruction, has been
head instructor for some of the country's most-respected golf schools
and has been named to GOLF Magazine's Top 100 Teachers list since
1998. He is a former PGA Tour player and a member of the Titleist
Professional Advisory Board.

"At the new academy golfers of any ability can reach their golfing
goals in a fun non-intimidating environment," said Keith Lyford,
director of instruction at the Golf Academy at Old Greenwood. "All
aspects of the game will be evaluated with some of the newest
technology available along with the highest caliber of instruction."

The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood is a 15-acre training complex that
hosts a 1,500 square foot learning center equipped with an
indoor/outdoor hitting bay, flat-screen TVs, lockers, club storage, a
fully-staffed reception area and high-speed internet access. Its
outdoor classroom consists of two large all-grass tees and a five-acre
short game facility, with several greens for putting, chipping and
sand play.

Using a four-camera system, our pros can evaluate swings on
split-screen TVs and even compare your swing to one of over 500 Tour
Pros who we have on file. The video, analysis, commentary and
suggested at-home drills are stored in students' online "lockers" for
anytime viewing. The Golf Academy also provides a free home version of
the analysis software so students can email another swing video to
instructors for "virtual" critique.

Club fitting is also an integral part of the performance formula at
The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood. Properly fitted equipment, based on
your physique and swing, can add yards and lower strokes.

Another facet to a quality golf game is physical fitness. The Golf
Academy's in-house fitness expert, Mark Tedsen, is a certified
Titleist Performance Institute golf fitness trainer, as well as a
licensed and practicing Physical Therapist. Tedsen helps students
identify any physical limitations that may be affecting their swing.
His fitness programs focus on moving efficiently to prevent injuries
and increasing power, accuracy and consistency.

The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood offers three-hour clinics of
customized instruction in a small group setting, geared to players'
particular needs. Clinic categories include: new golfers; senior
golfers; scoring with a focus on chipping, pitching and sand play;
putting; slicing cure; full swing tune-ups; driving for power and
accuracy; and the art business golf. Clinics range from $250-$325.

Private lessons can help golfers hone in on specific issues of their
game with personalized instruction from the Golf Academy's certified
instructors. The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood also offers one-, two-
and three-day schools and customized corporate sessions. All
comprehensive programs have a low student-to-instructor ratio and are
held in the school's private teaching facilities. Packages include
complimentary play after hours (cart included), an instruction
handbook and lunch. One-day programs are $495; two-day programs are
$890 and three-day programs are $1,250.
