FAIRHAVEN, MA. – Jan. 29, 2005 – FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, has announced the launch of their latest television campaign featuring the adored and passionate SignBoy character.
This year's campaign finds FootJoy enthusiast SignBoy admiring some of the world's best players and their FootJoy products. SignBoy appears on the range, around the clubhouse, on the course and wherever the players can be found. Matt Griesser, a Los Angeles - based actor has played the loveable SignBoy since its inaugural season in 1999. Joining SignBoy in this year's commercials are PGA Tour Professionals Vijay Singh, Ernie Els, Davis Love III, Adam Scott, Curtis Strange, Mike Weir and Fredrik Jacobson.
"Our new television campaign showcases several innovative FootJoy products along with many of the best players in the world," said Andy Jones, Vice President of Marketing for FootJoy. "FootJoy's focus is to enhance the enjoyment of the game for all players. The SignBoy campaign provides the opportunity to communicate this objective using a fun, memorable and unique strategy."
FootJoy's 2005 television campaign consists of 7 spots entitled:
· Rain Delay - Watch how the PGA Tour players kill time during a rain delay with SignBoy.
· 1 on 1 with Adam - SignBoy introduces a new family member as he admires Adam Scott's Classics Tour golf shoes.
· Play-Off - SignBoy feels the pressure with Davis Love III and Adam Scott during a play-off.
· Interview - SignBoy relives the final round shot by shot in a post round interview with Curtis Strange.
· SignBoy and the Swede - See a trendy SignBoy as he tries to connect with the young guns out on tour.
· 1 on 1 with Ernie - SignBoy one on one with the Big Easy… an interesting combination.
· 1 on 1 with Vijay - SignBoy tries to sharpen his skills along side the #1 ranked player in the world Vijay Singh and his DryJoys P.R.O. shoes.
