Bruce Charlton was elected president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects at the organization’s 62nd annual meeting in Scotland.
Charlton has worked at the Palo Alto-based golf course architecture firm Robert Trent Jones II LLC since his graduation in 1981 from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture. He currently holds the title of president and chief design officer. His courses include Southern Highlands Golf Club, Trans Strait Golf Resort, The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Bro Hof Slott Golf Club and Chambers Bay Golf Course.
