VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Rick Allen, veteran announcer, has signed on as the Host for the 2008 HorsePower Tee Shot Tour season. Rick was a three-time All-American decathlete from the University of Nebraska where he earned his degree in Communication Studies. He began his broadcasting career as a public address announcer at Nebraska announcing a variety of sports including baseball, basketball and the premiere athletic event in the state…Husker Football. While in Nebraska, Rick also appeared in commercial work for numerous companies such as Alltel, Goodyear and Gateway.
In 2003, Rick began his play-by-play duties for SPEED’s coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Sears, Microsoft and Toyota added their names to the list of companies for which he has done work. DirecTV and FX enabled him to expand his resume to include the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series to his racing coverage.
Today, Rick does play-by-play for the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks, ARCA RE/MAX and Sprint Cup Series. Both on and off camera, Rick continues to lend his talents to companies nationwide. He currently resides in Matthews, NC, with his wife Kris and sons Eric and Ryan.

The HorsePower Tee Shot Tour is a series of Power Golf events featuring NASCAR personalities and eight of the longest drivers of the golf ball in the world.
