Cecilia Ekelundh named as mew marketing director at Röhnisch

Röhnisch Sportswear AB employs the golf pro Cecilia Ekelundh for the new position; Marketing Director Golf Division. The Swedish company envisions a big potential for their golf collection.

”Our goal is to be the biggest selling golf clothing brand for women in Europe and creating this position is a natural step towards that.

Cecilia’s background and special knowledge of women’s golf is exactly what we need”, said Claes Röhnisch, CEO of Röhnisch Sportswear AB.

Cecilia has during her 9 year pro career won three time on the Ladies European Tour (LET) – plus the first ever Volvo XC Challenge in 2005.

”I am honoured to be a part of Röhnischs investment in the European golf market and look forward to working in a different part of the golfing industry. Our golf collection is unique as it is
sporty, fresh and female at the same time, which is hard to find in golf shops through Europe So I am very excited to be working with the Röhnisch golf brand.

I will work with Röhnisch parallel to my golf career. I have 20 tournaments scheduled around the world for 2008, where I also get the opportunity to create new contacts and learn more on how the international golf market function”, said Cecilia Ekelundh. Among the first tasks as the Marketing Director for the Golf Division, will be to build up a team of sponsored girls from all over Europe. Cecilia, together with the Solheim Cup player Maria Hjorth, will herself be a part of TEAM RÖHNISCH.
