TORONTO, Ontario, Canada -- Golf Town, Canada's largest golf retailer with unequaled selection and competitive prices at 38 locations coast to coast, announces the 2008 Golf Town Amateur Tour, April 29-September 30, featuring stops at premier clubs throughout Ontario including Devil's Pulpit, Georgian Bay Club, North Halton, Piper's Heath and The Rock.
Having increased its membership 100 percent each season, the Golf Town Amateur Tour is open to players with handicaps up to 22 and features 15 one-day events, including two majors and a final championship at The Georgian Bay Club, September 22-23.
At each tournament, the field is broken into four divisions based on skill level and limited to 120 entrants, who compete for nearly $4,000 in Golf Town gift cards, as well as points in the season-long Order of Merit competition.
