ORLANDO, Fla. – Jan. 24, 2005 – Golf Telebag may be intent on putting the emphasis on shrinking, but the revolutionary new product has the golf industry wide-eyed over its enlarging growth as it heads towards its official debut at this year's PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
Since its launch last October, Golf Telebag, the collapsible product that's the first and only hard case golf travel bag that fits over a golfer's existing bag, has rapidly been on the rise. In just three months, the company has added 80 new retail accounts. It also has a new infomercial ready to debut in February.
Golf Telebag will also be under consideration for New Product of the Year at the PGA Show, which will be held Jan. 27-30 at the Orange County Convention Center. To learn more about the Golf Telebag, visit booth 10,947 at the show.
Greg Dietrich, President and CEO of Golf Telebag, LLC., based in Orlando is ecstatic over the way golf buyers have responded to his product. "We couldn't be happier with the way things are going," says Dietrich.
"The response has been fantastic. Both golf travelers and the airline industry, which has okayed the product for air travel, have quickly embraced the Telebag. We knew this was a special product," adds Dietrich. "Now the golf industry knows it, too."
Golf Telebag's collapsibility is only part of the reason for its success. Its hard case is constructed of three connecting modules, each slightly larger than the next. Like a telescope, the modules fit within each other to significantly reduce the Telebag's size. Unique factors like that helped gain the New Product nomination.
"We want voters to 'Think Shrink', and not because they have to spend $150 to see someone for an hour's worth of personal unburdening," says Dietrich. "Instead, they should 'Think Shrink' because Golf Telebag makes traveling with golf clubs immeasurably easier and gives the golf traveler the peace of mind they need."
Golf Telebag's prospects for future growth are significant. Dietrich expects the company to make a strong showing at the PGA Show, where it will be on display at booth #10947. Two weeks after the show, on Feb. 14, Golf Telebag's message and sphere of influence will reach even further when its 60-second infomercial debuts on The Golf Channel.
"Our goal is to secure large retail accounts across the country, both at the Show and with the coinciding of our 60-second infomercial," says Dietrich. "We want people to go to stores to ask for Golf Telebag and really brand the product."
Golf Telebag also wants consumers to realize that smaller is better. By shrinking in size, the Golf Telebag is able to easily fit into the trunk of your rental car, leaving more room for your regular golf bag and other luggage. Even though it can hold a 48-inch driver at full length, it shrinks or telescopes -- to only 24 inches for unparalleled travel convenience. Golf Telebag can carry up to a 9-inch top diameter cart bag or a 10-inch top diameter stand bag. In essence, it fits over golf bags like a comforting sheath of protection.
Golf Telebag's ability to shrink in size does not take away from its sturdiness and quality. It's made from a lightweight, high-density polyethylene with double thickness for side-impact support. The Telebag has durable roller blade wheels for easy movement and has an easy control top handle that's strong for lifting.
The Deluxe Golf Telebag weighs 13 pounds and is designed to fit most any size golf bag. It retails for $139.95 and fits most models of golf bags available in the market today.

* Easy control with top handle
