ProPlay announces spring shipments were delivered to GolfTEC

ProPlay North America, the distributor for the ProPlay Glove and Grip Fitting System in both US and Canada, announced today that the company began shipping ProPlay samples to GolfTEC.

GolfTEC and ProPlay NA entered a collaborative agreement in early January 08. Both companies agreed that each could benefit from the partnership.

“GolfTEC is a pioneer in the research of the golf swing, and their insight around the importance of a proper grip makes the ProPlay Glove & Grip Fitting System an important improvement tool,” says ProPlay Executive Donna DelMuro. “This arrangement embodies the ProPlay business model which is to have our playing aid used by teaching professionals so a golfer can immediately see the results the ProPlay Glove and Grip Fitting System provides.”

GolfTEC is the nation’s leading technology golf instruction company with over 120 stores nationwide, many collocated in Golfsmith stores. Together, GolfTEC and Golfsmith offer customers a complete line up of golf products and services.

“ProPlay makes it so easy to teach the grip. As soon as a student puts on the glove and places their hand on the grip in the simple manner that ProPlay allows, they can instantly identify where their hand should be positioned.

The ProPlay Glove and Grip Fitting System began shipping the last week of February. They will be is available in all GolfTEC locations. Students will be allowed to purchase ProPlay through their GolfTEC instructor via member login on the ProPlay website.

The ProPlay Glove and Grip Fitting System consist of two components – glove and the grip. Both components feature instructional markings which work together to guide the hand and the grip. When the two components are perfectly paired the union creates the perfect grip.

ProPlay fits seamlessly. The grip dimensions are specifically designed to match your glove size. Five custom grip and glove offerings are available for men, three for women and three for juniors.

What distinguishes the ProPlay Glove and Grip Fitting System from other training aids is that it is considered a playing aid that can be used on the driving range and on the golf course as it conforms to USGA Rules per decision 2007-450.

The ProPlay Glove and Grip Fitting System was developed by seasoned golf professionals Neil McCree and Alan McKay from Queenstown Club in New Zealand, the two boast over 65 combined years of coaching. The concept stemmed from their numerous discussions on teaching the fundamentals of the perfect grip.

Nationwide golf distributor Mike Oliver joined the pair and was instrumental in developing samples and obtaining a USGA approval. A savvy Oliver then procured an endorsement from Kiwi native Steve Williams, caddy to the greatest golfer in the modern era, Tiger Woods.
