ROSELLE, Ill. -- ProPlay North America, distributor for the new ProPlay Fitting System in both US and Canada, announced that the company’s playing aid enjoyed a highly successful introduction at the Chicago Golf Show.

“We were very encouraged by large number of people who entered the booth and by the positive feedback we received from the local Chicagoans. Golfers with every handicap purchased our product. It was very exciting,” stated Donna Del Muro, an executive with ProPlay. “It also provided us with a terrific grassroots approach in creating consumer awareness to our product and brand.”

The Chicago Golf Show is the oldest and largest consumer golf show in the Midwest. Each year it attracts almost 20,000 avid golfers. It was held from February 29 – March 2 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemount, IL. This year the PGA supported show celebrated its 25th anniversary and the stars came out. John Daly put on a driving show and posed for the pictures while NFL Bear players Emery Moorehead, Jay Hilgenberg, and Bruce Herron signed autographs.

“Several PGA Professional Instructors from Illinois who stopped by our booth plan to use the ProPlay in their lessons this year,” stated DelMuro. “However, it is just as thrilling to hear from golfers and one of the best compliments we received was from a local golfer with a 6 handicap who stated, ‘This is not a gimmick. It is a terrific product that actually helps your golf game.’ That same golfer purchased our grip pack and extra gloves,” added DelMuro.

The ProPlay Fitting System consists of two components – grip and the glove. Both components feature instructional markings which work together to guide the hand and the grip. When the two components are perfectly paired the union creates the perfect grip.

ProPlay fits seamlessly. The grip dimensions are specifically designed to match your glove size. Five custom grip and glove offerings are available for men, three for women and three for juniors.

What distinguishes the ProPlay Fitting System from other training aids is that it is considered a playing aid that can be used on the driving range and on the golf course as it conforms to USGA Rules per decision 2007-450.

The ProPlay Fitting System is available this spring in 107 Golf TEC locations. Golf TEC instructors will use ProPlay as an instructional aide when teaching the grip. Students will be allowed to purchase ProPlay through their Golf TEC instructor via member login on the ProPlay website. Other fine golfing retailers like Edwin Watts carry the ProPlay Fitting System. Soon the ProPlay Fitting System will be available at Golfsmith.

The ProPlay Fitting System was developed by seasoned golf professionals Neil McCree and Alan McKay from Queenstown Club in New Zealand, the two boast over 65 combined years of coaching. The concept stemmed from their numerous discussions on teaching the fundamentals of the perfect grip. Nationwide golf distributor Mike Oliver joined the pair and was instrumental in developing samples and obtaining a USGA approval. A savvy Oliver then procured an endorsement from Kiwi native Steve Williams, caddy to the greatest golfer in the modern era, Tiger Woods. He states, “This is the most revolutionary product to come onto the market in years.”
