GPS Industries to showcase new products at the Merchandise Show

ORLANDO, Fla. – Jan. 20, 2005 – GPS Industries, Inc. (GPSI) (OTCBB: GPSN) (FWB: 252179) has announced plans to showcase the company's Wi-Fi and GPS-powered multimedia communications and management solutions for resorts, sporting events and residential communities at the golf industry's largest business event, the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show, January 27-30, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Also, GPSI is pleased to announce that Greg Norman, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and winner of 90 international titles, will visit the GPSI booth and discuss his continued involvement with the company on Thursday, January 27 at 1:00 pm EST.

GPSI's booth, No. 6334, will be located in the products and services section of the show floor. GPSI's family of Inforemer products are a proprietary combination of global positioning system (GPS) technology and Wi-Fi communications that have transformed GPS from a distance-measuring tool to a key business solution and revenue generator for golf courses, resorts and communities worldwide.

Inforemer employs color cart-mounted or handheld interfaces that provide a wide array of solutions designed to empower both the course operator and golfer. Solutions include facilities management and productivity programs, communication tools and even revenue-generating advertising platforms. For the golfer, the system offers a host of innovative multimedia and communication services, distance measurement and updated course information all combined to not only enhance the game, but also increase pace of play.

"GPS Industries has a unique combination of Wi-Fi and GPS technologies that place its potential well beyond golf," Norman said. "The possibilities for leveraging these technologies into other areas continue to expand."

"We are looking forward to this show and demonstrating exciting new technology that will benefit the golf facility and beyond," said Robert Silzer, Sr., President and CEO of GPSI. "The face of golf is changing, and our wireless capabilities and flexible product configuration set GPS Industries apart from the field."

Organized in partnership with The PGA of America, the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show will host more than 45,000 PGA professionals, retailers and industry leaders to preview the products and services of more than 1,100 golf-related exhibitors within 500,000 net square feet of the Orange County Convention Center.
