Standard Golf offers online Build-Your-Own-Flagstick application

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA -- Designed to give superintendents an easy way to create a unique look for their course that sets it apart from the competition, Standard Golf Company has launched an innovative Build-Your-Own-Flagstick application. It allows full customization of Standard Golf's most popular flagsticks with a wide selection of colors, striping patterns and ferrules.

"The ability to give a course a distinct, consistent visual identity has never been more important than it is in today's ultra-competitive market," said Matt Hurley, vice-president of Standard Golf. "Our new Build-Your-Own-Flagstick application offers the power to design flagsticks that precisely match a course's image, colors and style, allowing them to add distinction to their course. Golf courses can even mimic their local school colors."

Available through the Standard Golf Web site at http://www.standardgolf.com/buildyourown, Build-Your-Own-Flagstick is an easy-to-use, six-step, point-and-click Web interface. It gives users the ability to see the customizations they're making to Standard Golf's strong, resilient RoyalineTM flagsticks on-screen, in real time. Customization options include:

Base flagstick color: white, yellow, optic yellow, black or red
Striping pattern: choose from eight unique patterns
Stripe color: black, white, red, green, blue or yellow
Ferrule type: SMART-FITTM, Slotted or Traditional

All Build-Your-Own-Flagstick order details are checked for accuracy and confirmed by a Standard Golf representative. Typical delivery timeframe for flagsticks ordered through the program is only 3 weeks.
