NEEDHAM, Mass. – Jan. 18, 2005 – Forewinds Hospitality LLC, a division of Sawyer Realty Holdings, has announced the acquisition of two premier golf properties in Maryland and southern Pennsylvania.
Located in Avondale, Pa., in the scenic Brandywine Valley, Hartefeld National Golf Club is a public golf club in transition to private membership with an 18-hole course designed by Tom Fazio, complete clubhouse amenities and a Zagat-rated restaurant.
Mountain Branch Golf Course is located in Joppa, Md., two miles from Interstate 95. A public, daily-fee club with 18 championship holes, Mountain Branch also operates a popular destination restaurant in its full-service clubhouse. “We are very excited to add such high-quality golf properties to our portfolio,” said Ronald Winarick, Forewinds Hospitality LLC managing director. “I know the members and patrons at each course will benefit from the stability and solid financial management associated with the new ownership,” he said.
