FAIRHAVEN, Mass. -- Titleist, Golf's Symbol of Excellence,
proudly announces the selection of Tom Craig and Pete Veris as 2007 Sales
Representatives of the Year. The official presentation to recognize Craig
and Veris for this distinguished honor took place during the Titleist
National Brand Meeting in Orlando, Fla.
Craig joined Titleist as its golf club representative in his native
Philadelphia in 1995, where he has excelled for over 12 years. During his
tenure, he has focused on golf clubs for eight years, golf balls for three
years and full-line equipment for the past year and a half. His consistent
record of sales achievement, strong business partnerships and commitment to
customer service contributed to him earning the highest honor in the
Titleist sales organization, as well as a fourth consecutive Gold Circle
Award, representative of excellence in annual sales performance. He is
also a valuable resource in Titleist's sales training efforts and excels in
the role of mentor to many of the company's newer Sales Representatives.
Craig grew up caddying in the Philadelphia area, attended Archbishop Ryan
High School and earned a basketball scholarship to Edinboro State
University. He broke into the golf business in 1990, following 10 years
working in various sales training and management positions outside the
industry. Tom and his wife of 24 years, Jan, have one son, Brendan, and
reside in the Philadelphia area.
Veris earns the coveted honor for the second time in his 10-year career
with Titleist. He has been the Titleist and Cobra golf club sales
representative in Los Angeles since joining the company in 1998, and has
earned an unmatched nine Titleist Gold Circle Awards over the last decade.
Veris, a 20-year golf industry veteran, is a graduate of Southern
Methodist University and the San Diego Golf Academy. Pete and his wife
Jackie have been married for 31 years and are the parents of three
children, Lindsay, Jessica and Jason.
