DETROIT – Jan. 18, 2005 – Northwest Airlines has announced new seasonal nonstop service between its hub at Detroit and Bermuda. The flights will operate on Saturdays from April 9 through Aug. 20, 2005.
With world-class golf, tennis and its famous pink sand beaches, Bermuda is one of the hundreds of value-priced vacation package destinations offered by NWA WorldVacations.

The new flights will be operated with Northwest's Airbus A320 aircraft, with 16 seats in first class and 132 seats in coach class. Flight 1978 will depart Detroit at 10:25 a.m., and arrive in Bermuda at 2:42 p.m. On the return, flight 1979 will depart Bermuda at 3:50 p.m., and arrive in Detroit at 5:57 p.m.
Bermuda will be the 27th international destination served from Detroit, bringing to 160 the number of destinations served from Northwest's efficient and passenger-friendly WorldGateway hub.
