Eric Peterson new GM and head golf professional at Fox Acres

RED FEATHER LAKES, Colo. -- Fox Acres, a luxury mountain resort community located an hour north of Fort Collins, has named Eric Peterson general manager and head golf professional.

Peterson came to Fox Acres from Ballyneal in Colorado, where he was general manager and head golf professional. Under Peterson’s leadership, Ballyneal was named one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Courses in the World” and “Best New Course in the World” by Travel & Leisure Golf magazine.

“Eric’s experience, passion for excellence and industry knowledge make him an excellent fit for Fox Acres,” said Kevin Frazier, owner of Fox Acres. “We’re confident that Eric will help us not only preserve the legacy of Fox Acres as one of Colorado’s top private courses, but also build a new legacy as a luxury mountain resort community for the entire family.”

Prior to his work with Ballyneal, Peterson was the head golf professional for five years at Lahontan Golf Club in Truckee, Calif. Among his accomplishments, Peterson was the 2001 Private Merchandiser of the Year for the Northern California section of PGA and served two terms as Pacific Region Director for the Board of the Association of Golf Merchandisers. Peterson also has planned three national golf championships. In addition to being an avid golfer, Peterson enjoys collecting wine and is an author of a cookbook.
