Use iGolf Software to lower your score

Jan. 12, 2005 – iGolfgps is a "must have" for any golfer serious about lowering their score. Using a tiny SDIO GPS receiver and your Treo 650 smart phone, iGolfgps provides golfers with distance measurements to the front, center and back of a green, assisting in the appropriate club selection for the remaining distance.

Also included is the option to select up to four customizable locations, such as water hazards and sand traps. Additionally, a scorecard for up to four golfers is included, complete with player’s statistics and real time scoring.

It is convenient to carry and simple to operate. Combining U.S. government Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites along with a GPS receiver, iGolfgps can provide accurate distances on any golf course throughout the world. “This is a state of the art product that addresses one of the biggest challenges facing golfers, judging distance,” said David Alexander, Vice President of Sales. “We firmly believe it will benefit any golfer looking to improve his or her game”.

iGolfgps v.2 allows users to create their own course maps. These maps are generated by walking the greens and registering the front, center, and back using your Treo, the SDIO GPS Receiver, and the iGolf Software. iGolfgps also allows the user to register other points of interest such as sand traps, water hazards, etc. This process usually takes about one hour and once the course is mapped, it never has to be mapped again. These course files can then be shared among users.
