GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands -- New ownership brings golf carts into the swing of things at The North Sound Club. The delivery of forty (40) E-Z-GO® TXT® golf carts marks a new milestone for the only 18-hole golf course in the Cayman Islands which has been without carts for years.
Michael Ryan, owner and developer of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, announced the acquisition and management of the North Sound Club in mid-November. The new golf carts reflects the new course owner’s commitment to the ultimate golfing experience with what is expected to eventually be the most expensive golf course project in Cayman Island history. The carts arrived on-island December 20 and have hit the links as of December 23. The E-Z- GO® TXT® fleet will provide comfortable, quiet and efficient rides with each cart featuring a sleek body in electric blue and the North Sound Club logo.
Greg Norman’s Great White Shark Enterprises, who designed the Ritz-Carlton’s exclusive Blue Tip course, has officially signed on to redesign the North Sound Club course. No official date has been set for groundbreaking.
Over 200 new members have joined The North Sound Club, since the announcement of new ownership. The club offers various club memberships including a non-resident membership for Cayman snow birds as well as walk-on rates. The premier option, the Founder Membership, offers members playing privileges on the North Sound Club course and The Ritz-Carlton's exclusive Blue Tip as well as ties into the overall real estate opportunities within the master planned resort community. Founder Members pay an initial initiation fee (at press time $100,000) which may be 100% applied to the purchase of real estate within the community within 5 years time.
Individual, Corporate, Junior, Student, and Non-resident memberships are also available. All memberships provide the opportunity to golf on the 18-holes of The North Sound Club for 12 months with a possible six month plus renewal option.
