FRANKLIN, Pa. -- The Sizemore Collection, a boutique putter company developed to support the putter inspirations of master craftsman, artisan, Chief Designer and Co-Founder, Bruce Sizemore, announced today that the company will introduce a new generation of Sizemore Putters, the Players Series, at the upcoming 2008 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida.
“The Player Series evolved from our luxurious high performance Signature Series. The line embodies our innovative stylish designs but has been engineered for golfers who prefer the characteristics inherent with stainless steel,” states Sizemore.
The SM-1 Putter similar to its predecessor the XM-1 Putter is designed for maximum game improvement and target control. Its innovative stainless steel mallet styled head boasts two unique multi-channeled cylinders which are designed to accentuate alignment. These two modern cylinders are perfectly balanced for optimum accuracy but also accommodate an (optional) interchangeable alignment insert (AIM) that enhances both parallel and perpendicular optical alignment.
The second mallet in the Players Series is the SM-2 Putter, an attractive triangular shaped modern mallet. This futuristic putter does more than appeal to the eye it inspires confidence and ensures accuracy. Its pronounced stainless steel rail sight lines are designed for easy alignment and as with the SM-1 Putter can be used with the (optional) interchangeable alignment insert (AIM) to change or customize the alignment feature according the player’s preference. To optimize speed and distance control, a set of interchangeable weighted end caps are included in the optional tool kit and can be used to assist the player in calibrating the putter’s response.
For the golfers who prefer the classics or traditionally inspired designs, the Player Series offers two distinguished blade putters; the SB-1 Putter and the SB-2 Putter.
The SB-1 Putter with its stainless steel head features an integrated alignment pocket with an elegant sloping flange and profile to create an outstanding optical focus. The stainless steel SB-2 Putter is a streamline, modern classic. Its smooth blend of angles combined with tiered flanges, and centered mid-size plumber’s neck provide additional assistance when focusing on the sight line.
As with the Sizemore Signature Series, the Players Series is produced with the state-of-the art IND-X™ process that produces the flattest, most accurate face finish possible. This intensive patented procedure cross-mills the face of every putter in twenty-seven (27) different directions. It is then finished in a geometric pattern with exceptionally fine spacing. This astonishingly flat surface guarantees optimal reliability with a uniquely true response on all points of the putter face. Even outside of the normal “sweet spot”, the cross milled face finish ensures a true roll and does not deflect a ball off-line as with other milled surfaces.
“The Players Series is a new generation of putters for the Sizemore Collection but it has been designed for a generation of golfers who grew up playing stainless steel. As a young man, Sizemore learned pro shop and course management at his local club in Michigan before he entered the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University. In the late eighties and early nineties Sizemore became a PGA Golf Professional working at clubs in Indiana, New York, and California, specializing in golf instruction. His work with students ignited his passion for custom-designed golf equipment.
Sizemore has released a collection of ten putter designs, which have been used by over 35 PGA Tour Players from 2000 to the present. While using a Sizemore designed putter, over $6 million has been won on tour, including a recent Krista Johnson victory at the BJ Charity Championship where she sunk a 10-foot birdie to clinch the title.
