Here's a thought that occurred to me - today must be a great day for golf courses around the country. I mean, it's January 2.

With absolutely no proof aside from gut instinct, I say with complete confidence that this must be a great day for golf in the U.S. At least in the non-snowed in parts like California, Nevada and Arizona, among others.

Because only heinous, sick-with-power bosses would make someone work on a Wednesday following Jan. 1 (cough, cough). Plus, if you're going to do any business at all, may as well do it on the course and shake off some of the previous days' excesses. Or add to them.

So what say you? Do you or did you have a tee time today? Am I as right as I (always) think I am?
