The host of the Target World Challenge, Tiger Woods, clinched his fourth Target World Challenge title with a new and exciting addition to his Nike Golf arsenal – the new Nike ONE Platinum Ball. Woods took advantage of the innovative power transfer technology that Nike has infused in both the Nike ONE Platinum and the Nike ONE Black, evidenced by his booming drives and precise long-iron play. The new Nike Power Transfer Layer technology, with its thick advanced polymer located inside the mantle layer, increases ball speed and generates power and energy to ensure enhanced distance for a wider range of clubs in the bag. Both the Nike ONE Platinum and ONE Black Balls have accumulated 130 wins among the global professional tours, with 46 taking place on the PGA Tour since 2004.
Another newcomer to Woods’ bag of Nike Golf equipment is his 19˚ SasQuatch (SQ) 2 Fairway Wood. The SQ 2 helped Woods produce four rounds in the 60’s with his second-round 10-under-par score of 62 representing a new course record. Woods also tied the tournament record with a 22-under-par score of 266, and set a new record for the largest margin of victory by seven shots. For his win, Woods earned $1.35 million, which he donated to his Tiger Woods Foundation.
