The Golf Club at Circle C is renaming itself Grey Rock Golf Club

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Golf Club at Circle C (GCCC) announced that as of January 1, 2008, the club will be re-named Grey Rock Golf Club. The new name is part of a million dollar re-branding initiative the club is undergoing that will include major course improvements, a new membership model as well as a targeted advertising campaign.

Nestled in the charm of the hill country but conveniently located minutes from downtown, Grey Rock was built as the first high-end daily fee course in Austin in 1992. The 18-hole course was designed by renowned architect Jay Morrish and houses a restaurant, bar and pro shop.
In addition to the name change, the club will also introduce a new membership model that will allow both current and future members the opportunity to play on a premier course without spending country club fees.

“For the past four years we have been preparing for this moment,” says Chip Gist, General Manager and Director of Golf. “With a new course and new business model we felt it was important to create a new name as well. To enter the lush grounds you must pass through a dry-stacked Grey Rock wall and the name is perfect. This is only the beginning; we have over two million dollars in proposed improvements for the next five years. We welcome everyone to come enjoy this unique experience!”

Grey Rock will be a full-service semi-private golf facility that emphasizes membership and membership activity. Members will have exclusive access to the course at peak times. The club will continue to offer live music and events that will be available to both members and non-members.
