THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. -- PowerBilt, long a leader in clubs for juniors, is expanding its offerings for young golfers. It’s adding a fourth size boxed set for boys, rolling out boxed sets specifically for girls, adding hybrids, and selling individual junior clubs. And all PowerBilt junior golf clubs have sweet spots that are sweeter than competitors’ clubs, creating an exciting experience to help juniors learn to love the game.
“Expanding our junior line with high quality clubs for young golfers, both boys and girls, fits well with our overall strategy.” said PowerBilt president Larry Edlin. “We’re developing new products that will re-establish PowerBilt at all levels of golf, from kids all the way to adult low-handicappers and everyone in between. The addition of junior hybrid clubs is a real plus.”
PowerBilt’s Junior Boxed Sets are now available in four (4) boys sizes (right and left hand) and two (2) girls sizes (right hand only), and are color coded with corresponding high quality bags; Orange for kids 3’-3’8”, Blue for boys 3’8”-4’4”, Teal for girls 3’8”-4’4”, Silver for boys 4’4”-5’, Lavender for girls 4’4”-5’, and Gold for boys or girls over 5’.
“The color coding makes it very simple for parents when they’re searching for clubs for their youngsters,” Edlin said. “It takes the guess work out of figuring out what size clubs to buy.”
What separates PowerBilt junior clubs from all other junior clubs is the location of the sweet spot (center of gravity) said Mark Wilson, PowerBilt’s Director of Product Development. “Many of our competitors’ clubs are merely toys, not effective golf clubs for an aspiring junior golfer. Our analysis of the junior market showed clubs with sweet spots far into the heel, where the junior golfer should not learn to hit the ball! PowerBilt junior clubs have a sweet spot in the most logical location, in line with the center of the club face. This helps young golfers learn to strike the ball correctly while enjoying the rewards of a well hit shot.”
All PowerBilt Junior Boxed Sets have oversized drivers, 320cc in the Orange, Blue, and Teal sets and 360cc in the Silver, Lavender, and Gold sizes. A 5 hybrid is included in all sets but the Orange. These easy to hit iron replacements have become so popular with adult sets that they’re now a welcome addition to any junior player’s bag. Driver and hybrid heads are constructed from forged aluminum alloy.
All sets include a 7 iron and putter. The Gold PowerBilt Junior Boxed Set also comes with a 9 iron. All irons are made from long lasting Stainless steel to keep them looking fresh and new even after extensive use.
Shafts are lightweight composite graphite and are available in custom flexes appropriate for each age category. Grips are PowerBilt Rubber Junior Grips.
“PowerBilt Junior Boxed Sets are a great value for the young golfer and her or his parents,” Edlin said. “It’s a quality product at an affordable price to help kids get started playing the game and keep playing.”
The 5-piece Orange set retails for $109.99 U.S.. The 6-piece Blue, Silver, Teal, and Lavender sets retail for $129.99 U.S.. The 7-piece Gold set retails at $149.99 U.S. Individual clubs range from $19.99 U.S. for the putter, $24.99 U.S. for the 7 and 9 irons, and $29.99 U.S. each for the 5-hybrid, driver, and fairway wood.
