Nike Golf reports win by Justin Leonard at Valero Texas Open

Nike Golf’s PGA Tour domination continues to thrive on the strength of Justin Leonard’s third Valero Texas Open victory. Leonard won on the third hole of a sudden death playoff to capture Nike Golf’s second consecutive PGA Tour title, following last week’s triumph by fellow Texan and Nike Tour Staff member Chad Campbell. Leonard’s impressive driving accuracy with Nike Golf’s SUMO driver and precise iron play with his Nike Blades were key in helping him to secure the 11th PGA Tour title of his career.

Leonard’s victory sustains Nike Golf’s momentum in leading the PGA Tour with the most driver and iron wins, and is tied with the most fairway wood wins. With another banner year for Nike Golf unfolding, the 2007 PGA Tour season has seen 12 wins by five different members of the Nike Golf Tour Staff, which translates to -- Nike Golf athletes have won 28% of the PGA Tour events in 2007.
