Dec. 27, 2004 – Volvo PGA champion Scott Drummond heads the list of golfers to have registered so far for the Holden New Zealand Open, which begins on February 10, 2005.
The other big names in the list include Brit Barry Lane and the two previous Volvo PGA winners, Ignacio Garrido and Anders Hansen. Irish golfer Graeme McDowell will also be traveling Down Under for the tournament.
McDowell will be hoping to continue his fine form after climbing to 58th in the world rankings this year and coming sixth in the European Order of Merit.
"It's further evidence that this will be the strongest field we have seen for the Holden New Zealand Open," said tournament director Phil Aickin said.
"Some of these players are not as well known in this country, but they have won on the European Tour and are world-ranked players."
