For Spring 2008, Harry Vardon Golf is introducing Hybrid Cool Care Xtreme, an exclusive new tri-blend fabric combining the stretch and easy care of polyester, cotton and environmentally friendly bamboo – today’s super component.
“Combine this with natural moisture wicking properties, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and odor resistance and you have one of the best shirts on the course,” says Ray Ping, president of the Winona, Minn.-based company.
Hybrid Cool Care Xtreme is 60 percent polyester, 15 percent cotton and 25 percent bamboo. “Our favorite feature is while these shirts perform like all the high-tech athletic shirts out there, it looks and feels like a golf shirt; you can wear it to work, to a party, or the course and it doesn’t look like you’re ready for a 10K,” Ping says.
Hybrid Cool Care Xtreme apparel is available in the Vardon and Vardon & Ray collections. Other standout items in the spring line include an oxford butter pique, which is specially knitted for a soft hand, and the “Friendlier Greens” line with a soft knit collar for men.
