SYLVA, N.C. -- Balsam Mountain Preserve, a Chaffin/Light Associates community in western North Carolina, has announced the selection of Bruce Fine as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In addition to managing the sales and marketing team, Fine will develop marketing strategies for developer and resale operations, work in tandem with the development and construction teams to create and execute major community initiatives, assist in the planning of offsite customer events and activities, further develop co-broker relationships, and enhance partner-related efforts with architects, designers, and builders already working in the community.
“We are thrilled to have a person of Bruce’s caliber on the Balsam Mountain Preserve team,” said Craig Lehman, President of Balsam Mountain Preserve. “He is an extraordinary talent with a proven record of achievement in the resort real estate industry.”
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Bruce has over 25 years experience in sales and marketing management, with eight of those years dedicated to the recreational real estate industry. Most recently, Bruce was the project leader for The Cliffs, an internationally known master planned community in Western North Carolina, with over $140,000,000 in annual sales.
“When I finally visited Balsam Mountain Preserve, I was amazed,” Fine said. “As with most, I immediately fell in love with the community, and I consider joining the Balsam Mountain team the crowning achievement of my career.”
Balsam Mountain Preserve is a 4,400 acre community set high in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains near the towns of Sylva and Waynesville and only 40 minutes from Asheville.
Developers James J. Chaffin, Jr. and James W. Light designed Balsam Mountain Preserve as a community within a park rather than a park within a community. With a total of 354 homes and 3,000 acres of the community protected by conservation easements, Chaffin and Light have created an authentic, organic, and rugged mountain community in a sought-after, natural environment. Amenities include the new golf course, a state of the art equestrian facility, The Ruby Valley Sports Camp, The Boarding House Lodge, a Nature Center, 38 miles of fishing streams and 50 miles of hiking trails.
