Dec. 25, 2004 – There will be no fewer than 13 winners on the European Tour in the field for the Holden New Zealand Open, which begins on February 10, 2005.
Volvo PGA champion Scott Drummond heads the list to have registered so far, which includes Brit Barry Lane and the two previous Volvo PGA winners, Ignacio Garrido and Anders Hansen. Graeme McDowell will also make the trip to New Zealand after climbing to 58th in the world rankings this year and coming sixth in the European Order of Merit.
"It's further evidence that this will be the strongest field we have seen for the Holden New Zealand Open," said tournament director Phil Aickin said. "Some of these players are not as well known in this country, but they have won on the European Tour and are world-ranked players."
