Nike Golf congratulates Tiger Woods on Tour Championship win

Tiger Woods romped past the field at The Tour Championship by eight strokes to not only win his 61st PGA Tour title, but also become the first winner of the Fed Ex Cup title. His 23-under-par tournament total of 257 was a new career low 72-hole score for Woods. He posted four solid rounds in the 60’s highighted by his 64 and 63 in the first and second rounds, respectively. The best player in the world continues to dominate the PGA Tour using Nike Golf equipment. In the last five PGA Tour events he has played, he has finished first, first, tied for second, first and first, respectively and is an amazing 75-under-par for those events. With multiple wins from Woods and K.J. Choi, and a win from Rory Sabbatini in 2007, Nike Golf is leading the PGA Tour with 10 wins in driver and irons categories, and is tied for first in fairway woods.

Woods’ Tour Championship Highlights

· Woods’ laser-like iron shots with Nike Forged Blades ranked him first in greens in regulation with 81%. He maintains the overall number one ranking in greens in regulation for the entire season with a 70.34 percentage.
· With Nike’s SasQuatch Tour driver and Nike One Platinum ball, Woods ranked tied for third in driving distance.
· Woods’ 23-under-par total is a new personal low 72-hole score.
· Woods has seven PGA Tour victories in 2007 and 61 in his career.
