PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Dec. 24, 2004 – At the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show, The PGA Employment Center, the PGA Merchandise Show's official online job posting and networking resource, will showcase its services with an interactive booth located at #9730. The PGA Employment Center encompasses all of the complimentary employment services offered by The PGA of America and is a place where employers can post jobs and job seekers can view job postings.
Employers will be encouraged to post jobs to the PGA Employment Center to help kick off the fourth annual National Jobs in Golf Month, hosted by The PGA of America. The PGA will be linking golf employers with people interested in working in the golf industry via the PGA Employment Center at www.PGA.com/employment.

Employers seeking to fill positions such as General Manager or Head PGA Golf Professional to a caddie master, food and beverage manager or sales associate, can begin their search for candidates at www.PGA.com/employment. Employers can take advantage of the many employment services The PGA of America provides on a complimentary basis, including a job posting board, or utilizing PGA Regional Career Consultants to assist in finding qualified PGA members that will meet the needs of the employer.
Job seekers looking to work in the golf industry can search the job database at PGAjobfinder, which is a subset of the PGA Employment Center. PGAjobfinder allows the general golfing public the opportunity to post resumes for work at a golf course and search for jobs in the golf industry.
The PGA also offers CareerLinks, a complimentary employment referral service and nine regional PGA Career Consultants based throughout the country who provide support to employers and PGA Professionals. All nine regional Career Consultants will be onsite at the PGA Employment Center booth.
Other employment services include CareerNet, which offers PGA Professionals an online way to seek out and hire assistant professionals, teaching professionals and other PGA Professional support staff. The PGA also retains the services of a wage and hour consultant to help PGA Professionals and employers interpret labor laws and wage-and-hour information.
The PGA of America, founded in 1916, is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the game of golf while continuing to enhance the standards of the profession.
