Boca Greens Country Club is renovating its Joe Lee golf course

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Boca Greens Country Club is in progress of renovating its golf course and club house. The fabulous Boca Greens Country Club has a wide range of memberships benefiting homeowners, snow birds and local resident’s looking to join the Club.

World Famous golf course architect, Kipp Schulties, of Kipp Schulties Golf Design, was chosen by Boca Greens Country Club to oversee the renovation of the original Joe Lee designed golf course. This is the first extensive renovation to Boca Greens Country Club in nearly 25 years.

“Boca Greens Country Club has always been a private country club that serves our members first. We want to provide the best private club experience for our members and their guests. This renovation will help to attract new members to Boca Greens as well as retain our current membership,” explained Jess Frank, Manager of Business Development.

Kipp Schulties Golf Design with Sports Turf One, Inc. is rebuilding the greens with the hybrid Tif-Eagle grass. The Tif-Eagle greens will provide more consistent and faster putting surfaces. They will also have much better drainage and eliminate the need for over-seed during the winter months, which can be stressful on both the greens and the members. The greens will also have new undulations and more pin placements opportunities.

Other improvements to the golf course include: laser leveling and re-grassing of the tee-boxes, replacing the fairways with Tif-Dwarf 419 Bermuda grass, renovating all of the sand bunkers and expanding, laser leveling and renovating the practice facility. A very popular addition to our practice facility will be the 12,000 square foot chipping, pitching and bunker station. The practice range will double in size to 22,000 square feet including new target greens. Several tee boxes will also be moved extending the already 6819 yard golf course to over 7,000 yards.

The club house will receive a fresh look with new carpeting, locker room renovations, painting, new chairs, new chandeliers and tables in the main dining room and an extensive bar renovation. Renovations to the club house will take place in July and August and re-open on September 1, 2007. The Golf Course is scheduled to re-open on November 1, 2007.

“Our number one priority is member satisfaction. These improvements will give us the ability to compete with any private country club in South Florida. New members join Boca Greens because of our outstanding member services, friendship and value. As a bonus we now have the best conditioned course in the area,” explained Frank.

Boca Greens Country Club also boasts many other amenities including: New Tennis Instructors with three Women’s Tennis Teams, Junior Tennis and a renovated sixth court; New Fitness Instructors offering a wide range of classes including Yoga, Individual Training and Junior Fitness; Junior Golf Programs; full calendar of social events and casual and gourmet dining. The food and beverage department will also be adding a delightful Grill Room Menu.
